About John

IMG_0331Thanks for checking out my website. Look at that handsome, all American man with his dog. He must have an interesting bio!

Well, as Dr. Evil once said, the details of my past are quite inconsequential. I’m an Arizona native that occasionally writes and travels.

One of the perks of growing up in Phoenix was that I grew to appreciate the finer things in life. By that I mean traveling to escape hellish heat, but also the value of watching countless hours of TV/movies in an air conditioned room.

In December 2012 I graduated from journalism school at the University of Arizona before moving back to Phoenix to endure several sales jobs and summers of 120 degree heat.

But fear not! After a hiatus I’m back to writing about what I know best.

Don’t let the average white guy look fool you, over the years I’ve had the chance to do some pretty awesome traveling. From swimming with Minke Whales in the Great Barrier Reef to learning how to Flamenco Dance with some Spanish Gypsies, I’ve had the opportunity to do some amazing things and want to share some of them with you!

I’ve also put an inordinate amount of time into watching TV & movies. Some would argue this is wasted time. I like to think its made me into the man I am today. I didn’t need to read Voltaire in high school to ponder the greater questions in life, I had the Lost message boards. I’ll dive into some of my pop culture takes here as well.

Check out the rest of my blog to see my take on travel, pop culture, and the like.

  1. No mention of how amazing Ponte Vedra Beach is…! Check us out TPC Sawgrass week, where The Man obviously makes the schedule, because there is no way a Woman would schedule a Major on Mother’s Day, (where it would conflict with Brunch & other special Mom-ToDo’s) just sayin!
